We have two quite different cottages, both dog friendly, both unique, and both offering the highest standards available in self-catering.

THE HAWTHORNS COTTAGE

Self contained, and adjacent to the main house and sharing the garden, the cottage offers the benefits and freedom of self-catering accommodation.

Accommodation - Recently refurbished, centrally heated and comfortably furnished, on the ground floor there is a large living-room with open fire, colour T.V. and sound system, spacious well equipped kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine etc. etc.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms, one double, 1 with a 3/4 bed, and one with 3 single beds. There is a bathroom with shower and a separate WC.

Bed linen and towels are included in the rental cost.

Starter pack of coal & logs is supplied.

The cottage is serviced by metered electricity at Hydro Board rates, which is paid for on departure.

BOXWOOD COTTAGE

A traditional wooden cottage, on the edge of the ancient Caledonian Forest, Boxwood is truly unique and a heaven for birdwatchers and is situated in the Abernethy Forest, only three miles from Loch Garten and the RSPB Osprey centre. Boxwood is secluded, yet not isolated, only a few miles from Nethybridge and Boat of Garten, and easily accessible by car.

The local habitat supports a great variety of Flora and Fauna. Capercaillie, Scottish Crossbill, Pine Marten and Roe deer thrive in the forests of native pine, birch, alder and juniper. Throughout the year, red squirrels abound in the garden and the rare crested tit appears regularly at the bird table.

Accommodation - Refurbished to a high standard, retaining original pine linings, and with more than a hint of tartan, Boxwood comfortably accommodates 4 adults and 4 young children.

On the ground floor there is a lounge with open fire, dining room, two double bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, and a well-equipped kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, spin drier, food processor etc. etc.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms with four built in single beds, ideal for children!

There is a good-sized enclosed garden, with a locking shed for bikes etc.

C.D., cassette player and colour T.V. provided.

Duvets and Pillows on all beds (Unlike the Hawthorns, Linen and towels are not supplied, but are available at an extra cost of £10/double bed and £6/single and will include sufficient towels for both bathroom and kitchen use).

A starter pack of coal and logs is included. Electric coin meter takes £1 coins, night store heating provided free of charge.

COTTAGE RATES:
RATE SHOWN IS PER WEEK IRRESPECTIVE OF THE NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS.

A NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF £50/WEEK IS PAYABLE TO SECURE BOOKING.
NO BOOKING WILL BE CONFIRMED UNTIL RECEIPT OF THIS DEPOSIT.
BALANCE DUE 30 DAYS PRIOR TO DATE OF ENTRY.

OCCUPANCY OF COTTAGES FROM 3PM SATURDAY - 10.30 AM SATURDAY OR BY ARRANGEMENT.

SHORTER STAYS  MAY BE AVAILABLE OFF SEASON, OR AT SHORT NOTICE (MINIMUM 3 NIGHTS AND SUBJECT TO £40 SERVICE CHARGE.)
