Grantown-on-Spey
is one of Scotland's foremost eighteenth century Planned Towns.
It is the capital of Strathspey, through which the River Spey runs
amidst some of Scotland's most beautiful countryside.
The
town's history as an attractive holiday resort can be traced back
to Queen Victoria's visit in 1860.
